WEEKEND RETREAT

Respite Program

    •    Six times a year we take 15 special needs clients to such places as Roaring River, Eureka Springs, Arkansas Baptist Assembly and Mount Sequoyah where they fish, swim, go on hayrides and hikes, and find their creative side by doing crafts. Their weekend begins Friday evening and ends Sunday afternoon.
    •    The Retreaters' family enjoy the break they have from what is often 24-hour care. It gives them 48 hours to relax knowing their loved one is in the very capable hands of the Retreat Staff.
    •    Each Retreat is staffed by the Retreat Coordinator, 8 care providers, an RN, a night attendant and a cook. All arrangements are made to match each retreater with their own special needs.
Eligibility: 3 years of age and over who meet Arkansas Developmental Disability guidelines.
